Rapper A$AP Nast, connoisseur of the streetwear and fashion scene and Lacoste fan, is the face of this Lacoste campaign. Whether as a tattoo on the chest or embossed on the sneakers, the artist embodies "the spirit of the crocodile".
 

The L001 takes Lacoste's traditional tennis heritage and transforms it into a new and modern shoe, an absolute classic. As the name suggests, it is a completely new sneaker with a dynamic silhouette - the first of its kind - whose core element is reinterpretation.

The sneaker's central elements are inspired by treasures from the Lacoste archive: René, the very first shoe designed by René Lacoste, and a vintage tennis racket from the 1980s. The retro shape and style of the René is the inspiration for the new L001, while the sweeping lines along the tennis racket handle are echoed in the sneaker's catchy triangle design on the upper.
