ASKET is set to introduce the swim shorts to their permanent collection, designed in a truly timeless style. The new design comes in three solid colorways (Cold Blue, Cold Green and Dark Navy) - designed to sit alongside ASKET’s other wardrobe essentials. A proper summer staple, the awim ahorts are equally suited for pool dips as they are for city strolls.

ASKET is working with pioneering company SEQUAL INITIATIVE; which works with clean-up organisations in the Mediterranean to collect marine waste plastic, turning it into a high quality 100% post-consumer recycled polyester yarn. The yarn is then woven into a 2/1 twill weave with a fabric weight of 130g/sqm and an unbrushed finish to give a slight luster and luxurious feel.
“Swimwear is an entirely new category for us so we spent a lot of time researching technical fabrics as well as working out to combine an athletic approach into something that could still work as a more tailored short,” shared co-founder August Bard Bringeus. “Any garment is only ever as good as the fibre it is built on, so we’re thrilled to have found SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, who have developed a recycled source material that doesn’t compromise on the products technical integrity.”
In addition to the main body fabric, where possible every element of the ASKET Swim Shorts are made from recycled polyester, from the mesh, to the drawstrings as well as the trims (eyelets, zipper, thread, everything except the elastic waistband).
The garment is 100% traceable and will be sold at EUR 80.
