The Capra:

The Capra is the vision of a group of friends who wanted to create a luxury ski lodge in an unspoiled setting in the Swiss Alps. After a long search for the right property, in 2014 they transformed a traditional Swiss hotel into an all-suites chalet hotel that blends rustic charm with modern design. Within the Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio, The Capra Saas-Fee is included in the LVX Collection, which assembles worldly and illustrious luxury hotels and resorts.

Says Raphael Herzog, the Capra's host. Last year The Capra welcomed the winter 2016-17 season with a new alpine lodge and a range of new facilities. Swiss architectures worked with London-based design team to create a subtly sophisticated design that reflects the alpine surroundings: warm colours, rich textures and organic materials, such as wood and stone. Traditional elements are combined with cutting-edge technology to create the very unique signature style: intelligent, understand luxury. 

With just 24 suites and rooms, The Capra genuinely feels like a private hideaway. Every suite has a separate living room with generous amenities, a balcony and a complimentary mini bar. The rooms are decorated with lots of wood and natural materials, so you can really make yourself at home. Adjoining rooms come in family-friendly configurations, allowing larger groups to create their own private apartment.

And for all coffee lovers, there is a good news - you can make your own coffee directly on your room. So before you head for breakfast, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a bracing view of the gabled roofs and soaring peaks surrounding Saas-Fee. 

La Locanda is a beautifully conceptualized restaurant that melds a relaxed brasserie style dining and fin-dining in one space. Lead by the Swiss chef, Eric Glauser La Locanda serves fresh, inventive dishes showcase with the finest Swiss and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant boasts a private wine cellar to host intimate private meals and celebrations. 

Created by leading spa designers Klafs, The Capra Spa is a small but striking space clad in wood, stone, and slate. The minimalist aesthetic is perfectly aligned with the serene surroundings. Snowflakes fall on the skylights as you soak in the hydrotherapy pool.

In the summer of  2017, The Capra will expand to include a state-of-the-art spa designed by Raison d’Etre. The newest spa at The Capra is the perfect space to indulge and unwind while getting in tune with nature.

Even when the winter season is about to end, the team of The Capra offers their guests a myriad of recreational and relaxing activities. Gift yourself with joying one of the sports and yoga classes, offered in the weekly program. You will move, stretch and relax your body with a variety of body movement and breathing techniques. You can also ride the Metro Alpin – the world’s highest underground railway – to the Mittelallalin Ice Pavilion, the world’s biggest ice grotto.
