Jil Sander

Known for its stripped back aesthetic the brand has seen distinct change in its style but the husband and wife team still staying true to the Jil Sander DNA.

Shown during the Milan fashion week schedule SS18 consisted of  menswear as well as Women Resort 2018. There are ideas that remain familiar: the fundamental white shirt in numerous iterations; tailoring to impeccable standards, the merged masculine- feminine impulse, streamlined, substantial accessories. 

Says Luke Meier. "There's a DNA to the brand, but it's more an approach to design than relying on specific codes – like carte blanche with context."

Shapes and silhouettes were shown throughout the collection with fabrics that expand, collapse and finely follow the body.

The 16 menswear looks presented all evoked the Jil Sander minimal chic but updated with Lucie and Luke Meier's stamp.  Grey and blacks featured heavily with looks consisting of separates and full suits, a particular highlight was the the elongated white shirt with black oversized overcoat and trousers.
