As a digital company, Axel Arigato stores break the typical retail model and are specifically designed to build real connections with customers and invite them to a unique experience with the Axel Arigato world. Creative Director Max Svärdh implements his vision in a longstanding collaborative studio and presents the latest retail design codes for the Munich store.
 

Just a few steps away from Maximilianstraße, one of Munich's most exclusive shopping streets, the 143 m² store opens its doors, making it the fifth independent store of its kind. Shoes, accessories, a curated selection of objects and an extensive ready-to-wear assortment are offered.

As a global brand with an incredibly strong e-commerce, expansion plans are often dictated by online audience growth. And over the past 12 months, Germany has continued to perform exceptionally well since the brand's inception, initially evidenced by pop-ups in KaDeWe, Oberpollinger and Alsterhaus department stores earlier this year. Now Axel Arigato has found its own home in Munich.
 

The store design codes are focused on minimalism, in keeping with the other four standalone locations, and offer an art gallery feel. Corrugated metal display towers present the product in a playfully unexpected way and a central walkway connects to a rear gallery area.

The space uses a colour spectrum with soft yellow, the colour that is very close to the brand. First installed in the Paris flagship store, yellow travertine tables once again make an architectural statement. This natural stone material becomes synonymous with the brand's shops and gives the interior a feeling of weight and naturalness.
 

After the opening, a series of in-store events will begin, as connecting with local communities are key strands in Axel Arigato's brand DNA. Axel Arigato officially opens its doors on Tuesday 9 November - and will host events throughout November.
